Hello everyone and in today's first blog post I am going to be showing you my DLO for a very special charity. It is the SPCA, witch is the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Anyway, this task we were told to pick a charity and write the things they do for the job. I chose the SPCA because I love animals and I love how the SPCA is there to help the pets in need. So here is my work, and I have one question for you all, if you saw a pet in need, what would you do?

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

ReplyDeleteWell done on creating this blog post about the SPCA! You have included some outstanding information about the organisation, and the pictures you have included really help show us what the SPCA is all about.
Sick, injured, and abused animals are helped everyday by the SPCA, and you mentioned that there have been over 40,000 animals helped by them in centres all around New Zealand.
Have you ever come across a sick or injured animal that needed rescuing? If so, what did you do?
When I lived in Australia, I had to call the SPCA (or in Australia they call it the RSPCA) to help a kangaroo which had been attacked by a dog. The kangaroo was not in very good shape, and I watched over him until the SPCA arrived to help him out.
I was extremely thankful for everything the SPCA did to help out the injured kangaroo, and was so relieved when they were able to nurture him back to full health.
Have you got any pets? Were any of them adopted from the SPCA?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
